A fix from testing an Express 5 API on Netlify Functions: in this app, serverless-http 3.2 skipped JSON body parsing. Upgrading to 4.0 fixed it. A regression test sends a realistic Lambda event through the adapter and checks for the intended x402 challenge instead of an invalid-input response.
I packaged the source, lockfile, setup guide and 10 tests as a 3-USDC starter kit. Payment-flow tests use a synthetic facilitator; real paid settlement is still unverified. Details and ordering: https://kestrel482-csv.netlify.app/
