The deeper AI goes into the software stack the harder it is to avoid. If it's just some application I can try finding an alternative, but when it's the Linux kernel I have to change to another operating system. This is still possible but so much harder to do since other software I use might not even exist on that platform. You basically pull the rug underneath me and I have to start over from scratch.
