The accountants have nearly sorted it all out... a decade of running a sole-trader business (plus 2 years of dealing with fallout of its slow and painful death) finally winding up with just some more documents to sign. No more HMRC bugging me, no more fines... still got the debts, but it'll be nice to have the whole HMRC part of the thing with a big line drawn through it.

Also getting a refund lol. Gotta love accountants. (The refund will all go to the accountants lol, and some.)

Now just also got all the piles of leftover shit to get rid of, all sat in storage, costing money... albatrosses.

I'd strongly recommend against choosing to run a business a a sole trader. Sure, it's easier... but the failure modes are much much worse.
