Kamala Harris had three months to campaign. Given Trump and his history, the Democrats should have been able to run my next door neighbor's cat and they still should have been able to win.
This was not Kamala Harris's fault. IMHO, this was the fault of an uneducated, aggrieved populace that the Biden administration failed to reach during its four years in office. This was the fault of a justice system that failed to contain the threats to our democracy. This was the fault of a media establishment that failed to hammer on the unsuitability of Trump and his candidacy, while nit-picking Harris and Biden to death.
You can blame Democrats, or neoliberals, or leftists who didn't vote. But culturally, the norms and values of the racist, religiously-bigoted states are still in place. "Keep 'em stupid, keep 'em voting Republican.
