My opinion of this chap went up a lot with this article!
I'm still not inclined to watch any of his movies - I've seen way too much of that street culture in real life in my own youth, and at some times have probably only been millimetres the other side of landing up in HMP, but I think he's being sincere about his past and genuinely regrets the hypermasculine / bling culture he once helped promote
That grew out of the rave scene I was a big part of, so all of us are guilty for promoting that bad behaviour back in the day and its important as older Gen X / Millenial men we call it out and move on..
