"content": "Okay, I have two PCI SoundBlaster cards with a gameport - both cards work fine as sound cards on Ubuntu 24.04, but no success using a joystick on the gameport.\n\nAnyone know of a live usb Linux distro version that supports the legacy gameport? Preferably something that is less than 15 years old. Only doing this to test old joysticks/gamepads so it doesn't have to be good at anything else.\n\nThank you.\n\nEdit: please only answer if you have personal experience with the above (PC gameport controllers on Linux); looking up possible solutions on search engines and testing them out is something I've already done, which is why I'm asking here.\n\n#retroComputing #retroGaming #gameport #joysticks #linux",
