Let's discuss the idea of "once in a generation" in a democracy.

In Scotland, around 900,000 people were too young to vote in the independence referendum in 2014. They make up 16-17% of Scotland's population. This is from ONS data.

How can democracy in the UK work when the UK Government imagines that just saying no ends the matter and that 900,000 people in a population of 5.5 million just don't matter?

Just saying no isn't enough to define the future of the UK.
