The thing about Adams is that it was not just knowable but known that he was a sleazebag when he was running for mayor. And then he populated his administration with cronies, many of whom I suspect will also be indicted soon. I won't be even slightly surprised if the indictment, when unsealed, refers to corrupt acts by APPOINTEE-1, APPOINTEE-2, …, APPOINTEE-ℵ₀, etc.
