What do you call a restaurant that delivers your entree and your main at the same time?

The word I've always used is "crap".

They tried to argue that some people prefer this if they're in a large group. I pointed out that I was on my own, and that I'd specifically told the wait staff I wanted my main after I'd finished my starter.

This has happened a few times over the years when I'm dining alone; seldom as a couple or in a group. And in this instance the restaurant was unwilling to deduct the cost of the untouched entree, so I didn't stay for a second glass of rosé, dessert and coffee. The Beef Cheek Rendang Flatbread was excellent, though.
