One thing to consider is maybe stay and fight is better than leave and fork. It is a democratic organisation after all.
Consumer boycotts are a valid political strategy but to be honest they often started from a weak position of being the only available option which isn't the case with this issue.
There are much more effective ways to make change in an organisation.
