when starting a new position, do *not* under any circumstances apply a fucking gallon of perfume or cologne before going to your new office
you will absolutely NOT be making a good first impression on anyone. particularly anyone with breathing difficulties or allergies.
Also if someone like me has to train you and set up things for you, you will absolutely get the most rushed and half-assed treatment you have ever seen and for sure there will be no question time at the end.
