It's a big undertaking, but I'm working on synthesis for https://hyperblam.how. I'm implementing a kind of FM/AM synthesis with some powerful features:
- As many operators (carriers/modulators) you want
- Different waveforms per operator (FM is usually just sine-based)
- As many effects, LFOs, automations, and events *per operator* as you want
- Standard generative composition/sequencing tools that already exist for sample-based instruments
Came up with this drone thing while experimenting:
