I'm old so Diddy was the corporatization of hiphop and selling people glamorous delusions about criminality (as opposed to artists that were just reporting on life in the streets). But he apparently did his job of blinding people to hip hop that spoke about reality, that advocated for real change (not spare change for billionaires) and just real people's lives. Bling bling.
