there's just no on-ramp to a new career in tech at my age. you have to do internships in undergrad to get experience so you can get the junior roles, and my university's program didn't include internships, so i'm shit out of luck, twisting around doing personal projects and sending job applications off into the void, because no one will even open them unless you have at least 1-2yrs experience.
