That’s clearly a subjective perspective of someone originating from Poland and 40+ generation but I don’t agree with the last statement (“ship has sailed”). I do understand especially in the US left-wing circles there’s a certain tendency of abusing the term “Nazi” or “fascism” for literally anything, but in my circles these terms are very much associated with the German National Socialism (Nazism) and WW2 atrocities. Having visited the Auschwitz Museum a few times in my life time, I’m very reluctant to use the same term to refer to some idiot on Internet and I find this kind of usage disrespectful to millions of victims of the actual Nazism.
