"content": "Something most Nostr devs don't know: in the EU, iPhone apps can be installed from outside the App Store.\n\nSince 2024 (DMA), Apple must allow alternative app marketplaces and even direct web installs on iOS. AltStore PAL exists because of it. The Zapstore dream, permissionless, Nostr-native app distribution, is legally possible on iPhone here.\n\nThe catch: a €1M bank letter of credit to run a marketplace, Apple notarization on every app, and it only works for phones in the EU.\n\nWhich makes the EU the one place on earth where a Nostr-native iOS app store could actually be built. Copenhagen is in it. Just saying.\n\nBuilding BitKiss, a self-custody Lightning wallet for iPhone, from Hasky Labs, Copenhagen.\n\n#nostr #zapstore #bitcoin #lightning #iOS\nhttps://image.nostr.build/f72e0fa2ea4e3747b714207b69a0d0d10dc5c1f19fde081066433de02762bfd5.gif",
