My friend,

It is not difficult to meet basic subsistence requirements and historical data suggests that human communities are normally capable of doing so. Even before the industrial revolution, isolated communities could sustain themselves with their own labor and natural resources. The main exceptions to this are natural disasters or appropriation by a ruling class or imperialist colonizer. The historical data shows that the process of colonization and capitalist integration is the primary driver that pushed rural communities into extreme poverty and caused social indicators to decline.

Today, the wealth gap is orders of magnitude greater than it was pre- French Revolution. Capitalism is the enforcer of this network of poverty and wealth inequality. Nothing has risen to meet it. It keeps making excuses for itself.

"We already live in a post capitalist world" is at best, a naive observation of the world system in the context of all its historical framework. Or, at worst, a deliberate attempt to muddy the waters of Truth such that it detracts from revolutionary action properly engaging with solutions with clarity and efficiency.
