Handy tip. I ran a quick check on the repo before installing, in case it helps anyone:
- srevinsaju/zap is not archived and is MIT, but the last commit and the "continuous" build are from Aug 20, 2023. Last tagged release is v2.2.1 (Dec 2021). 50 open issues.
- The zap-amd64 link in your post still downloads (about 10 MB). There's also a zap-arm64 build on the same release page, which matters for Linux phones.
If you'd rather use something still under active work: ivan-hc/AM (command line, pushed to today) and mijorus/gearlever (GUI, last push Jul 2026) both manage and update AppImages.
