I quite like the phrase "Olympic leap of logic."

There are two types of studies being conflated whenever someone starts gushing about solar panels and biodiversity. The first, like you mentioned, involves wildflowers or even rewilding. So you point out that rewilding is obviously good but all these studies show is that solar panels don't *necessarily* interfere with it. Then they come in with the second type, which involves agrivoltaics, wherein someone rediscovered that some crops grow really well in partial shade! Never mind that monocultures are still bad and will continue to be bad, even if they're coated in greenwashing.
