In NM it took 8-10 years to implement REAL ID, and everyone was in a panic over it. We were told the point of REAL ID was that it would prove citizenship and would be required for access to places like DOE sites and military bases, as well as airports.
Now we finally all have REAL ID and we find it didn't actually get us that at all. Sheesh.
