I second that. As long as you have a reasonably modern distro with PipeWire, you should be good to go. I also use Arch and loved the learning process but it is not necessary. You can choose Mint, Ubuntu, Fedora, CachyOS, etc. And yeah, coming from Live, I would also say that Bitwig would be the closest match. Have a smooth transition and lots of fun! 🥳
