I just got notified that Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly is publishing an article about my client Danny Rogers who is doing life without parole for a felony-murder conviction.
The felony: homeless guy shoplifts toothpaste. Shoplifting is a misdemeanor, not a felony, you say? I would agree with you. The case is also tied up with the toxic soup of our society: racism, poverty, homelessness, trauma.
I’ll be posting bits of the article later today. The article is actually very thorough and fair.
