Some festivalgoers were sheltering under a museum overhang tonight, singing patriotic tunes as rain began falling.
Authorities stopped letting people into the National Museum of African American History and Culture, with more than 1,000 sheltering outside the building and some exposed to the elements.
Some were heard singing, "God Bless America" and other patriotic songs.
Irony at it's best.
