June 8. Talk about something you wrote and later removed, and why.
In draft 1 of The Amulet and the Dragon, there was a round-by-round description of the battle tournament. It added nothing to the story and was not terribly exciting, although it contained some nice descriptions of the action. I ultimately removed it and just had the characters comment on how it went after the fact, which conveyed just enough plot and character for story purposes.
