I took my framework 13 apart, disconnected the fan assembly, cleaned the CPU with isopropyl alcohol, applied the thermal pad carefully (it's EXACTLY the size of the CPU so be very careful, no spare space) and re-assembled everything again.
It's much more efficient at heat transfer so my CPU can efficiently sink the heat into the heat pipe and out the exhaust port instead of being toasty on the inside with poor thermal conductivity.
