This seems even more egregiously slimy when 'AI' is only as close to the surface, in the US, as it is because a lot of its alleged infrastructure buildout has not actually happened; and, so far, it appears that 'fast follower' is a very efficient way of doing things even if you want this stuff.

The tragedy is that, somehow, these guys get taken seriously despite failing most of the conditions for actually being a serious corporate pressure group, like making money.
