My father's biggest fear while I was growing up was I would elope with someone who isn't of our religion/caste/class. When I turned 30, he was okay as long as guy I would bring isn't Muslim/Christian. Now I am close to 40 & he tells me not to get married as that would bring shame to family. Its unnatural? Me being his daughter make a point in all our family gatherings to invite people for my wedding when I turn 45. There is no groom in picture. 😅 But no one gets to decide my life but me. Fin.
