I'm really looking forward to it. What I'll do is read the section on a given language feature, then read the corresponding (and shorter) section in "Squeak by Example". It should track pretty well considering Squeak is the direct descendant of Smalltalk 80.
The second half of the book looks like a journey all its own - it will be interesting to read how they designed the virtual machine.
