I think this raises an important point. I moved to the U.S. a few years ago to become a U.S. journalist. I've been very fortunate to have workplaces that let me do my job uninhibited. In America, a person's ability to access healthcare for themselves and their family is almost always linked to their employer. This means U.S. companies, including media outlets, hold way too much power & control over their employees. It's all the more crucial to support independent media.
