You know that 'nerdy kid' (it wasn't me!) at school whose specs were held together with sticky-tape?

Me today. Had a 'stupid pain episode' which made me collapse onto the bed, and in the process destroy my reading glasses (actually 'occupationals', but whatever; I use them for computer screens and reading).

I did the school thing to reattach the broken arm to the frame using gaffer-tape, then thought "all this really needs is 'stability' ", so mixed up some epoxy glue and smeared that all around the tape.

Hopefully(!) in the morning when that resin cures, my 'computer glasses' will work again as long as I never have to take them out of the house...

In other news, they are allegedly doing cataract surgery on me soon, so I'll need new ones anyway. Sheesh, isn't getting old brilliant?!
