Grasilda had always been proud of her gene mods. Especially the extra reverse joints in her her fingers. The hyper rotation of her knees made gymnastics a breeze, and the increased ocular separation gave her depth perception beyond that of any unmodified human.
She could shoot more accurately, react quicker, and dodge faster than any of the previous generation of colonists. All vital survival skills.
Now, however, she faced a challenge far beyond anything life on the colony world had prepared her for.
An off-world university.
