The thing that really changed my online life was when I realised that when someone is boosted into my timeline saying things like “If you do/don’t X, you are a eugenicist”, I can just block them. And I will never hear from them again.
When I first realised this, I blocked a lot of people. Now I don’t have to block that many people that often.
Maybe I am creating an echo chamber, but what I think I am doing is limiting my encounters with people behind whom trails a steady stream of trouble.
