CrunkLord420 (nprofile…wj4k) I want to host my own email server on a VPS and there is something i don't get. Many people suggest solutions like Mailcow, which require quite a bit of RAM. I checked Luke's full tutorial, which does stuff just manually using postfix, dovecot, spamassassin etc. (starts here https://landchad.net/mail/smtp/) and when I put everything on my vps it uses significantly less resources. Is there something i am missing? It doesn't seem to me I am really missing some functionality. In what case would I get something like mailcow if my goal is to still have small email server with only few people accessing it?
