"content": "Vanilla updates: I have now used up or given away all the vanilla pods from last year. Hooray!\n\nThe ones I didn't give away are now turning into vanilla extract. In the first photo below, the jar on the right is vodka and the jar on the left is rum.\n\nThe second photo shows what it looked like inside a vanilla bean when I put a long slice in it before putting it in the alcohol.
