Hey everyone! 💜 Check out our updated guide to connecting to Conduit on the web!

This is a much simpler way to get started for now, especially if the wallet and signer connections have felt confusing. Just connect your Nostr profile through Soapbox Signer, then add a Lightning address for receiving payments. You don’t need to connect the wallet itself to use its Lightning receiving address! ⚡️

💻 We recommend getting started in Chrome on a computer while we work through some mobile connection issues. Updates are coming soon to make connecting from your phone easier, too!

Here’s how to get started:

1️⃣ Set up your Nostr profile

Already have a Nostr account? Use that same account!

If you’re new, visit https://ditto.pub and choose “Sign up” to create your profile.

Save your secret key, called an nsec, somewhere secure. It controls your account, so never share it with anyone, including anyone offering support.

2️⃣ Install Soapbox Signer

This browser extension lets you connect your Nostr account to Conduit without entering your secret key into Conduit itself.

Install it here:

Once installed, import your existing Nostr account into the signer using your nsec.

3️⃣ Connect to Conduit

Our website:
https://conduit.market

Go directly to the merchant portal in that same browser:
https://sell.conduit.market

Choose the browser extension sign-in option and approve the connection through Soapbox Signer.

4️⃣ Add your Lightning receiving address

Choose the wallet where you want to receive customer payments, then add its Lightning address in Conduit.

A Lightning address usually looks like an email address. Your chosen wallet needs to support one. This lets eligible checkout payments go directly to that wallet without setting up a separate wallet connection.

Then you’re ready to start setting up your shop! 🛍️
