Halfords has an aura unlike any other retail experience.
Like many Men of a Certain Age™️, I feel a childlike wonder at the thought of unexplored tools, but this is countered by a sense of disappointment and dread at knowing that if one wants to explore the forbidden tools, one will have to wander for hours to a find the guardian of the key to the Cabinet of Eternal Joy, only to have them stare annoyed at you as you try and enjoy the experience of handling hardened steel.
