Pearl District neighborhood association (read: businesses) had scheduled a candidate forum for next Monday at the Armory. But they only invited 4 of the 12 candidates vying for the three seats in District 4. How did they choose which to exclude? By amount of money raised, of course. So, that would be the three current incumbents and the cop (literally one candidate is a cop at the PPB). The Pearl NA dubbed them “the final four”. But!
"Still, elections law does not allow neighborhood groups to narrow which candidates are invited to participate.”
