If suckless software is minimal to a fault, what's the less extreme version? Minimal software?
What I picture as a good balance between sucklessness and usability is a program like DWL (DWM for Wayland) where it's minimal and stable, but extensible, and has become a strong basis to use in other projects that are subsequently stable as well, like mangoWC. Less code per project, less attack surface, less bugs. Same with wlroots, I think that's very good, it's code one would have to write anyway. Having a dedicated project for different parts & dependencies to perfect them makes mangoWC a very "correct" program. Again from wlroots : it aims to implement things *right*.
