Not exactly rocket science. Just mimic what people who lived there for thousands of years found what works well. Don’t try and build something that doesn’t belong there and then think you can install a massive HVAC system to offset the poor design. Sure you can use some modern building techniques or materials but don’t depart from the basic design elements that make the structure work well in its environment.
