The thing is that many people are focused on PUBLIC acceptance as being the "living on Bitcoin" way, where merchants from a place / town / country are publicly accepting BTC.
But usually the real "living on Bitcoin" is more "underground" that people do not see it advertised (stickers, interviews, YT videos).
I am telling you my case: long time ago I onboarded only 2 merchants in my area (is a rural area). And these 2 general stores are willing to bring me anything I need / want if I pay in BTC. I mean anything. They find the item, buy it from whatever supplier with fiat and they sell it to me for sats. They sometimes offer me discounts because I pay in sats.
If they cannot bring me an item, I use some precoiner friends, they pay my fiat bills and I pay them in sats.
The IMPORTANT KEY is not where to spend, there are many places that accept BTC, but if you EARN in sats. Years ago I stopped accepting any form of fiat for my services. I only accept BTC. Yes, I lost many clients, but I do not care, I learned how to spend less, only when is needed.
