We've used a 3d fence for several years with no deer intrusion.
Standard stock fence, with a line of taller posts a few feet further in. The inner "fence" just has a top wire run; with stuff hanging on it. We used strips of old greenhouse cover. But may transition to beer cans.
Deer don't have depth perception, so they don't know if they can clear both fences.
