Theres an old DOS maze game called Insanity for context https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rhpGenRviEM

When I was a younger and severely less competent programmer I used to fantasize about making some kind of collaborative MMO maze game. No real end just infinite niches to bury yourself in as deep as you can. I've always enjoyed exploring places like Manyland, minecraftonline, LambdaMOO, Furcadia, etc. Anywhere that has built up a massive amount of historical terrain to explore as the product of people coming and going with time. Like yummy nicky but where the game is built from within the game by lots of people who don't necessarily have anything to do with each other. 'cause I like finding the comfiest corners where other people left long ago.

Anyways I think those things are cool but I also like mazes because thats the same thing only the aspect that I really like (arbitrarily obscure niches) dialed way up. HOME GAME 3 (and HORSES other games) do this as well, his do it very very well, he is clearly as pneumatic as he is artist and seemingly has a knack for creating art with a pulse. Also thecatamites, especially 10 beautiful postcards and magic wand. Anyways so I always thought it would be cool to have Insanity but its infinitely built out by its players.

My point is that my ideal e-date is taking someone to the deepest nook of a living catacomb
