Thanks both, very cool! This is exactly the kind of answer I'd hoped for, but I'm afraid I have nothing to contribute.
I did try searching the OEIS for "irreducible representation 3003" and I found that G_2, E_6 and Fi_22 all have irreps of dimension 3003. The last two also have an irrep of dimension 78, but not 14 or 15. It feels like I'm just on the boundary of mathematics and numerology.
