whilst this is better than loads of (probably electricity-guzzling) air conditioning systems, it will very slightly warm the river water, which will be returning to the river, potentially causing algae blooms at the outlets. More trees and better building design and amelioration will also be needed. But Paris seems to be ahead of London or other cities in the UK on this.
