5. Econ majors will sniff and say that the Left can't offer efficient economic growth. This is a misunderstanding. The Left doesn't primarily *want* efficient economic growth. We want everybody to have enough, nobody to have too much, and we want production and consumption to be environmentally sustainable on a time scale of centuries.
