The venue for this weekend's yarn show has "Free wifi." I expected an "accept" page, but I didn't expect:
1. A page to accept or decline cookies & tracking.
2. A "login" page demanding
- gender
- first name
- last name
- Post code
- age - day month year
- email address
- password
(the email address had to be verifiable)
I can't see how that data slurp can be required to use a wifi connection. It must be one of those brexit benefit.
Neil Brown (npub1huw…c5x7) just tagging for interest, not necessarily any response
