I watched someone vibe code a little app. And yes, it's a neat curiosity that the machine is able to do that.
But aside from the known effects and externalities, I just found watching it depressing. It takes the wind out of my sails for programming in general.
Like, let's give it the best case scenario, it's delivering on all promises, then what the fuck does anyone need me for?
Worst case scenario, it renders most programmers unable to program on their own and leaves them dependent on the machine, in which case what the fuck does anyone need me for?
