🇪🇺🇺🇦 The EU admits that €90 billion in loans to Ukraine will not be enough due to the war’s protracted nature, — Euronews
The loan was agreed on the assumption that the war would end this year. It was supposed to cover two-thirds of Ukraine’s needs in 2026-2027.
Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko estimated the funding gap for 2027 at around €70 billion. The European Commission plans to provide €45 billion next year, but is still working on the final estimate of the deficit.
