I think the "negative chatter" doesn't only come from #privacy advocates but from ordinary people as well. Here is a brief list of things I believe triggers the opposition:

Your post, just as the #KIDSAct proposal itself, contains many unproven assumptions. Like that it is better for every teenager to be outside and interact with other humans then being "online." Is this really true? How do you know? And who does the Commission think they are to decide that for millions of teenagers?
