Umm, I need help.

I'm replacing a dishwasher and also adding a disposal while everything is opened up. This comes up from the basement (armored cable), splits off in a junction box to countertop outlets and the dishwasher. The dishwasher and outlets were fine on this (until the dishwasher died of course), but it feels really gross.

The plan is to go breaker -> existing junction -> new GFCI -> same junction from LOAD -> countertop outlets, but this armored cable only seems to have a (now very short) aluminum ground wire. Aluminum ground wire sounds scary; am I right to be worried?

What are my options? Can I just throw it in a twistie rocket ship with the copper ground? Is the sheathing grounded? Do I blow my 25ft (and probably more) of romex to replace the whole line? Make sure I have fire insurance and take a vacation?
